Taban is a city in peril. It has been fifteen years
since the death of the king, the great Amul ibn Rakhil, though it would seem
much longer. In his absence warlords have risen and torn the city apart.
The king's only daughter, Ladriya, has sworn to take his place and restore peace
to Taban, but can she do it? A young magi trained in the art of healing,
the art of war does not come easy. She has been able to fend off the
warlords, but petty thieves walk without fear in the streets. By her side
is the noble Faris Tamsah, though he appears to be the only one. The
leader of the city guard, Shayk Ridqidh, speaks openly against Ladriya and she
does not have the faith of her people. As if these trouble were not
enough, both Ladriya and Faris have gone missing...
Where is Ladriya? Why has Kayna, the
last of the great magi of the City of Lore, sent for her? To find the
answers to these questions, you will go on the quest to create the Silifi of the
Crimson Stars, a powerful axe unlike any other. Infused with the gems Al-Shajar,
Al-Khur, Mahwan, Yujazik, and Sulmada it is an awesome weapon, one that might
ever restore order to the streets of Taban. This journey will take you to
the tomb of the fallen warrior Leikotha, into the depths of the evil cave of
Slysfear, and beyond the City of Lore and to the Drow that roam the Shiryaz
Forest. Are you up to the challange?
